. The answer from Vet Gen as to what this means is quoted her: "

Based on her results, any coloration different than her own would have to come from any prospective sire.  She does not carry any "hidden"  colors.

After searching for more than two years, Hilde was thrilled to be able to bring Qi home as her very own pup from kennel Exgate. There were blood-lines that were dismissed early due to health and mentality, but one ancestor of many Norwegian Ridgebacks had caught her interest: Exgate’s Heartbreaker Called Punky.

Everybody that knew her commented on her sweet nature and playfulness, and her health as well as the health of the puppies she produced, was just excellent. Two of Punky’s daughters were having their last litter, and one of these was very interesting. She followed the development of several pups from this litter, and when Punky’s grand-daughter Madame was to be inseminated with the same male, she just kept her fingers crossed.

And in Qi we got even more than we ever dreamed of! Yes, she is as healthy as can be. Except for an infection after her fist litter, and now a case of kennel cough, she just doesn’t get sick.
She has all that playfulness we heard Punky had, and maybe even more so. All her instincts are intact, she hunts, guards the farm, flees or stands her ground – depending on the situation, her social skills are tremendous as is her mothering skills.

If that’s not enough, she a fabulous show-dog!

It is not just her merits at the shows that made us think of breeding her, but so much more. Much more! Let us tell you some more about our Qi:

Her inquisitive nature
: Everything must be checked out! Even things that startle her at first must be examined thoroughly. Can she eat it? Play with it? Chew it apart? She doesn’t give up until she’s got her answer.

Her great retrieving-skills: Yes, Hilde taught her to fetch objects, but no one could learn a Rhodesian Ridgeback to fetch with so much pleasure unless she wanted to! After throwing a stick 17 times, Hilde was fed up.

Her true RR nature: She’s so uninterested in strangers, but once she gets to know you and even care for you, she’s just cuddles and kisses!

Her way of dealing with uncomfortable situations:
When pushed almost to the limits of what she can take, she tries in every way to get out of the situation, but never growls or shows teeth. She just lets out a whimper. Aggression is not her answer.

Her health:
She just doesn’t get sick! She can eat anything anytime and stay outdoors in rain, snow or heavy winds. It’s just any other day for her!

Yes, her bloodlines must continue. We will do our best to breed her with the right dog so more people can enjoy living with such wonderful Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

Qi comes from a litter of 12 (2 with DS, culled) where all 10 have been x-rayd with clear A's (excellent) on both hips and elbows. All her siblings were contacted before her first litter and all but two answered. No illnesses except for one with furonculosis as a junior, no aggression but most are quite timid
